Helmet Safety Rules

Kinds of Helmets
A good helmet must have thick padding (minimum 20mm) covering all sides. Full-face helmets are the safest.
Helmet Components
The Shell
- Absorbs impact energy
- Distributes force
- Allows sliding on road
- Protects face & temples
Foam Liner
Compresses during impact to reduce head injury by increasing stopping distance.
Strapping System
Always fasten tightly. A loose strap reduces protection effectiveness.
