Traffic Management

The organizers shall ensure that the dharna, protest or demonstration is conducted in a manner that maintains free movement of traffic, pedestrians and emergency services.

Traffic Conditions

The organizers shall ensure that the dharna/protest does not cause unnecessary obstruction to the free flow of vehicular traffic and pedestrians.

The protest shall be conducted only at the approved/permitted location.

No protester shall occupy or block the carriageway beyond the area specifically permitted by the Police.

At least 3/4th of the carriageway shall be kept free for general traffic, wherever the protest is held adjacent to a public road and traffic movement is possible.

No unauthorized barricading, tent, stage, dais, vehicle or other structure shall be erected on the public road.

Adequate volunteers shall be arranged by the organizers for regulating the participants and preventing obstruction to traffic.

Participants shall not block junctions, pedestrian crossings, footpaths, bus stops, hospital entrances, emergency routes or access to public/private properties.

Vehicles of participants shall be parked only at designated/approved parking locations.

The organizers shall ensure that participants do not spill over onto adjoining carriageways or obstruct vehicular movement.

The organizers shall strictly comply with the instructions issued by Police Officers on duty.

The dharna/protest shall commence and conclude strictly within the permitted timings.

In case of any traffic emergency, the organizers shall immediately cooperate with the Police in clearing the affected road.

No procession from or to the dharna location shall be undertaken without separate permission.

Any violation of traffic conditions or obstruction caused to emergency services shall result in appropriate action as per law.

Approved Location

The protest shall be conducted only at the approved location.

Free Carriageway

At least 3/4th of the carriageway shall remain free wherever applicable.

Emergency Access

Emergency routes shall remain clear and unobstructed.

Designated Parking

Participant vehicles shall be parked only at approved locations.

Crowd Management

Volunteers shall regulate participants and prevent traffic obstruction.

Police Instructions

Organizers shall strictly follow instructions issued by Police Officers.

Emergency & Traffic Clearance

In the event of a traffic emergency, organizers shall immediately cooperate with the Police to clear the affected road and ensure unobstructed access for emergency services.

Compliance & Legal Action

Any violation of the prescribed traffic conditions or obstruction caused to emergency services shall result in appropriate action as per law.
