DRONE OPERATIONS
Traffic Conditions
Regulatory Compliance

The drone operation shall strictly adhere to the applicable DGCA / Ministry of Civil Aviation norms, Drone Rules and other statutory requirements, in addition to the following traffic-related conditions.

Prior permission/authorization required from the competent authority for usage of the drone shall be obtained.

Detailed programme indicating the date, timings, location and duration of drone operation shall be intimated well in advance to the concerned Traffic Police Station so that necessary arrangements can be made.

The operation shall be conducted under Police supervision wherever required, ensuring the presence of an officer of the rank of SI of Police or above having jurisdiction over the area.

Videography/photography of vital installations, critical infrastructure and other prohibited/restricted areas shall be strictly avoided.

The drone operation shall be conducted strictly within the approved premises/area and shall not obstruct or interfere with the free flow of vehicular traffic or pedestrians.

No take-off or landing shall be carried out on any public road, carriageway, footpath or median .

The applicant shall ensure that the drone operation does not attract or cause gathering of people on public roads resulting in traffic congestion or obstruction .

No vehicle associated with the drone operation shall be parked on the carriageway in a manner causing traffic obstruction.

The operator and organizers shall immediately comply with any instructions issued by the Police/Traffic Police in the interest of public safety and traffic regulation .

The Drone Rules, 2021 and subsequent instructions/norms issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation/DGCA shall be complied with.
INDOOR
Indoor / Private Premises
Private / Closed Premises

If the drone operation is confined entirely to a closed/private premises and has no impact on public roads, traffic arrangements shall be limited to ensuring the following:

Entry / Exit Access

No obstruction shall be caused at the entry or exit of the premises.

Unauthorized Parking

No unauthorized parking shall be permitted on public roads.

Spectator Congregation

No congregation of spectators shall be permitted on public roads.

Emergency Vehicle Access

Emergency vehicle access shall remain clear and unobstructed at all times.

Public Safety & Emergency Access

All arrangements shall ensure that emergency vehicles and public traffic are not obstructed.

Compliance

The operator and organizers shall comply with all applicable statutory requirements and instructions issued by the competent authorities from time to time.
